SEPARATION
My eyes met his,
T’was a flash of bliss.
Arrested in time,
A moment sublime.
With a nod, he drew me close,
In fear, I froze.
His eyes touched me…
His smile caressed me…
My heart went pacing,
My pulse… racing.
My mind was dazed,
My body… ablaze.
I winced, I shook,
I was enslaved by his look.
Then just as imperceptibly he came,
He left…without a trace…not even his name.
Who was he?
I know not.
Wherefrom was he?
I know not.
An imposter? An apparition?
Or was it my hallucination?
His gaze envelops me though he eludes my vision,
Creating complete communion even in separation!

amazing poem... i can never manage rhyme like this! its clearly an art!
are you kidding me? rhyme in verse is juvenile stuff. in fact, i am trying to kick the habit and try to write non-rhyming verse.
